Although the AIP diet is a big component of the diet, the program also includes other dietary recommendations like eating specific foods at specific times, eating more of certain foods etc. The program also includes specific lifestyle recommendations. These specific recommendations are built in to support the body’s digestion and detox processes and they are unique to this program. I have never been on a diet before. Will there be enough options to eat?
You can rest assured that there will be lots of options in my meal plans. Nutritional therapy is about the power of food to heal. The AIP diet also focuses equally on adding nutrient dense foods as much as avoiding inflammatory foods. Having been a foodie all my life, I have created a ton of delicious recipes within the universe of foods that you can eat.
How long will it take to become pain free?
The healing process can be different for different people depending upon how much inflammation is present in their body, and how efficiently their body systems are functioning. In general, people begin to feel an improvement in their symptoms after 1 month. And the improvement continues to happen over the next few months. At the end of 3 months, most people feel a great improvement in their symptoms.
Will I be able to come off my RA medications?
Once you begin to feel a significant improvement in your symptoms, you can talk to your rheumatologist about potentially decreasing your medication dose. Depending upon how severe your disease is, you may be able to lower the dose or even be able to completely come off some medications.
I am a vegetarian. Will this program work for me?
This program eliminates all grains and legumes so in general, AIP is not possible for vegetarians. However, I have worked with hundreds of vegetarian clients and created a vegetarian version of this diet. While it will have limited options for proteins initially, this has nonetheless worked for a lot of my clients in the past.
Will supplements be prescribed?
The Rheumatoid Strong Plus program includes a 1:1 consultation with Indira where you will be asked to complete questionnaires that will provide insights around your body’s foundational status. Based on that, you will be provided with a personalized supplement plan that you will be able to purchase at a 25% discount off retail price. The supplements, although highly recommended, are optional and you do not need to take them if you do not want to.
Will a refund be provided if I am unhappy with the program?
We definitely do not want to see you unhappy. If after joining, you feel this program is not right for you, we encourage you to reach out to us. You can book a 15 minute call with Indira to discuss your concerns. What days and times will the weekly live calls be? What if I am not able to attend?
